The Bees

We added bees to the farm in the spring of 2021 and are totally hooked on these crazy cool creatures! While we’ve always had no issues with pollination (a big thank you to the bee keepers in the area!) we noticed a significant increase in fruiting in the garden this year with the introduction of our own hive.

They are amazing to watch and are gentle and calm - even when I’m poking around their brood boxes to check on them.

We look forward to offering our honey and beeswax in the farmstand next year. For the time being we’re going to let the bees build their colony and strengthen for the coming winter!
