Big Ash Farm

Big Ash Farm is a small farm located between Longmont, Niwot, Erie, Lafayette Louisville and Boulder. We raise Icelandic sheep, heritage turkeys, a variety of poultry and also grow an abundance of seasonal produce in the garden. Eggs and produce are offered in our self-service, honor system farm stand (old horse trailer) located in the driveway.

Our Icelandics have the best room in the house.  When not grazing in their pasture under the watchful eye of Cusco, our llama, they're gazing at the beautiful snow capped Rocky Mountains.

We raise primarily heritage turkeys with our chicks being hatched by our hens on farm.  While not as big and as quick to grow as the supermarket birds, they forage well and are simply beautiful!

The garden at Big Ash Farm is vast, producing much more produce than we could hope to consume ourselves!  So we share!  A variety of all the basic veg' is planted every year - and some not so common as well!  Check out the farmstand page for all the info!

Big Ash Farm also raises a variety of poultry (ducks, chickens, turkeys, peafowl).  Our ladies lay a kaleidoscope of colored eggs in all different shapes, sizes and patterns! When the days get short, the ladies take a well earned break to prepare them for getting back in the action in the spring! 

The ladies, along with the heritage turkeys, have full access to the large gardens at Big Ash Farm for fun and feeding.  They play a huge role in keeping the garden bug free and well fertilized!
