Chickens!

As is the case with people (IMHO), variety is the spice of life when it comes to chickens!  We love their eggs of course (and the occasional pot of chicken soup) but their quirky personalities, wildly different styles and hilarious interactions have led us to many different varieties - not just those that are prime for egg laying and/or dual purpose.

Our flock varies in size but is generally around 35-40 at any given time.  And while not all have names given, some do!  For example - Underfoot, who was given her name because she is just that - always underfoot - running in between your legs as you walk to see what you're doing.  And Shackelton, a fearless explorer since she was 1 day old.
